HLDS CS 1.6 – latest update for linux

HLDS cs 1.6 or Half-Life dedicated server is nothing more than a tool to create dedicated servers.

On

The Half-Life Dedicated Server or HLDS is an application to run a dedicated server for GoldSrc games without component (game) client.

Connectivity

Regardless of the type of server you are using, your computer must be able to receive unsolicited incoming connections. This is exactly what software routers and firewalls exist to prevent; therefore, if you are using one, you will need to reconfigure. Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for how to do this.

The ports that HLDS officially requires are:

  1. 27015 UDP (game broadcast, pings)
  2. 27015 TCP (RCON)
  3. 27020 UDP (HLTV broadcast)
  4. 26900 UDP (VAC service) – automatically increment if used in case of additional server processes

The HLDS was also discovered when opening connections on UDP / TCP 27005-27030, but some of them can be output only.

Here you will find the official version of the hlds direct from steamcmd / valve.
